Funding Closes January 2025

Scotland’s businesses have a limited opportunity to access fully-funded digital and tech training for their workforce. If funding isn’t utilised by January 2025, it will be withdrawn.

This is your chance to upskill your team, improve efficiency, and support digital transformation—all at no cost to your organisation.

How It Works

Our work-based learning programmes are designed to deliver measurable benefits to both employers and employees. Here’s how we collaborate with you:

1. Consultation:

We meet with you to understand your business goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

2. Initial Assessment (IA):

We assess each learner’s role and potential to ensure the most relevant training programme is selected.

3. Individual Learning Plan (ILP):

A tailored learning plan is created for each learner, aligning training objectives with your business needs.

Optional units are selected to support both the learner’s job role and your organisational goals.

4. Training Agreement (TA):

A formal agreement is established between you, the learner, and Direct Tech, ensuring clarity on roles and expectations.

5. On-Job Mentor:

You assign an on-job mentor to support the learner’s development.

We provide an induction to equip mentors with the skills to guide learners effectively.

6. Programme Delivery:

Delivered by qualified Tech Instructors using a hybrid model:

Remote Workshops: Interactive labs, jams, and problem-solving activities.

Practical Application: Learners apply new skills directly to workplace tasks.

Self-Paced Learning: Knowledge decks, workbooks, and guided exercises.

Drop-In Support: Remote or in-person Q&A sessions.

7. Tracking and Monitoring:

Learners use Trello to develop online portfolios and document evidence of learning and application.

Meta Skills Assessment: Conducted to track and monitor the impact of the learning journey.

8. Quarterly Reviews:

Training plans and learner progress are reviewed quarterly.

Comprehensive reports are provided to both the learner and employer, highlighting progress, achievements, and CPD.
