Celebrating STEM

ScotlandIS colleagues Fiona Thomson and Nicola Taylor have had a STEMazing start to 2025 attending two SmartSTEMs events.

We braved the snow to attend an event in Aberdeen and travelled to Dundee to talk to young people about technology, how it impacts our lives and careers in the sector. Both sessions saw us entertain at our expo space with our ever popular Microbits coded to play rock, paper, scissors.

We also ran 6 workshops across the two sessions that saw us deliver a Tech She Can tech talk on Energy followed by a hands on coding experience where we created Smart Home Monitors with our microbits.

Great fun had by all.
